As the Senior Manager, Communications, Jennifer Schenkel leads BHER’s strategic communications portfolio. Jennifer works across teams to develop and execute integrated communications strategies and advance BHER’s mission and vision. She manages BHER’s social and digital media presence, and media relations activities. She is also responsible for creating compelling content to engage key audiences and support knowledge translation.
Prior to joining BHER, Jennifer held senior leadership roles in communications, stakeholder engagement and program evaluation. Drawing upon 20+ years of communications experience, she has helped organizations build their brands with national marketing campaigns, stakeholder events and media relations strategies. She has developed a range of communications products for leading organizations, including the United Nations, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Lung Association, Champlain Local Health Integration Network, and several government agencies.
Jennifer’s writing has appeared in various print and digital publications: The Globe and Mail, Investor’s Digest, Investment Reporter, The Toronto Star, and OWL Family Magazine. She has a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University.
