OTTAWA - The Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) is proud to welcome three new members:  Concordia University, NorQuest College, and ApplyBoard.

BHER is first and foremost a member-driven organization. We look for members from Canada’s largest companies and leading post-secondary institutions who share our commitment to working together to solve the country’s biggest skills, talent, and innovation challenges.

“I’m delighted to welcome Graham Carr (Concordia University), Carolyn Campbell (NorQuest College), and Meti Basiri (ApplyBoard) to BHER. Each is an inspiring leader and shares BHER’s commitment to creating a thriving Canada where everyone has an opportunity to reach their potential,” said Val Walker, CEO, BHER.

BHER’s power comes from the strength and commitment of its members, including these newest members, who are now working with us not just on the goal of 100 percent WIL, but on a broader range of skills and talent initiatives that include: net-zero, accessibility, international talent and upskilling/reskilling.

Graham Carr, President and Vice Chancellor, Concordia University

“Concordia is enthusiastic about partnering with BHER to further equip our diverse student population with access to inclusive experiential learning opportunities that nurture their talent and develop critical skills for the benefit of Québec and Canada. Building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with partners across all sectors of society and the economy will also help Concordia achieve its commitment to offer every undergraduate student in every academic program at least one experiential learning opportunity during their studies.”

Carolyn Campbell, President, NorQuest College

“Working with the Business + Higher Education Roundtable means that NorQuest College can connect more meaningfully with the organizations, communities, employers, and leaders who share our values. Together, we will deliver workforce-relevant education that will equip workers with the skills they need, and that industry and communities deserve.”

Meti Basiri, CEO, ApplyBoard
"At ApplyBoard, we believe that the intersection of business and education is key to unlocking Canada's future prosperity. We are excited to join BHER in its mission as we continue to guide international students through their education journey and help them apply their boldness, ingenuity, and determination as leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to our nation."
